Here are some tips for troubleshooting if your Stream is not appearing on your website properly:
1. Issue: There is a blank line on my website instead of an image or player. This happens because there is either no offline content selected or because you don't have another event scheduled. You will also see this on your Dashboard as well.
Resolution: Schedule another streaming event. Once this is scheduled you should see a countdown timer both on the Dashboard and on your website/livestream page.
2. Issue: I don't have another event to schedule, but I don't want a blank line to be appearing on my website.
Resolution: Add offline content. There are three different types of offline content:
- Single image- To adjust go to Streaming Settings> Appearance. Under the "Look & Feel" section. Add an image to the "Social Share" field by selecting from the dropdown and then click "Save" by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen in the lower right. Once saved, you should then see a still image in the livestream player.
- Rotator- To add go to Streaming Settings> Media. Under the "Defaults" section, in the "Rotators" field, select from the existing rotators in the dropdown or add a new rotator by clicking on the blue button. Click "Save" in the lower right corner to make sure the Rotator is added in correctly. Once saved, you should then see a rotator in the livestream player.
- Offline Video Loop- To add, go to Streaming Settings> Media. Under the "Defaults" section, in the "Video Loop" field, select from the dropdown and then click "Save" by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen in the lower right. Once saved, you should then see the video looping in the livestream player. You do want to have audio in this offline video loop as this will be what is being pushed to social channels.
**NOTE: If you have a rotator AND an offline video loop selected, the rotator will take precedence.
